The Annual Cycling Circuit departs at 8:15AM and 9AM from McCarren Park in Williamsburg, BK.
Riders will have eight hours to complete the course. If you have not completed the ride within that time, support vehicles will pick you and your bike up and escort you to the Finale Festival.
The routes are along greenways and on-street. There are no road closures, so participants must be confident riding with traffic. Police and volunteer marshals will be stationed at high traffic intersections.
Starting Line/Finale Festival
The circuit will begin and end in the same location- McCarren Park in Williamsburg, BK; Lorimer St between Driggs and Nassau Avenues.
Hydration stations are highlighted along the route, noted on your cue sheets, and announced in your GPS directions. The stations offer restrooms, water, light refreshments and simple bike mechanics. They are located every 8-12 miles along the route and are only open to ride participants.
The Annual Cycling Circuit is all about wellness. In every effort to stay green, recycling stations will be placed at the ride start, hydration stations and the Finale Festival.
SAG (Support and Gear)
The Annual Cycling Circuit is supported by ride marshals who travel with riders as well as two SAG vehicles who will be out on the course. If you are unable to continue for any reason or fall behind the allotted completion time, SAG will transport you and your bike to the Finale Festival. If you require SAG support, ask a ride marshal to contact them on your behalf.
Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will be stationed along the route and at the Finale Festival to attend to medical needs.
Bike mechanics will be stationed at the start line, rest stops and the Finale Festival. Labor is free, but bring a spare tube in case of a flat. Bike mechanics will be addressing minor mechanical concerns and have the right to refuse work on certain repairs. Please have your bike tuned and inspected prior to the event date to avoid such need.
Volunteers at the hydration stations, start line and Finale Festival are your go-to's for questions and concerns. If they are unable to assist, please contact the headquarters number provided to you at registration.
By the time you arrive at the Finale Festival you would have ridden 50-100 kilometers/31-62 miles across two boroughs!
Park your bike at the bike valet and enjoy the complimentary yoga, music, delicious food, and drinks.
Official Cycling Circuit and LifeCycle Biking apparel will be available for purchase and all riders will receive a swag bag packed full of goodies from our sponsors.
